House Inspection #1
I think it's time for us to prepare for house inspection.
I have attended a talk last year on house inspection and as suggested the following are the tools needed during house inspection.
I have attended a talk last year on house inspection and as suggested the following are the tools needed during house inspection.
- Camera - capture the defected part to show to the developer or for you to make comparison after repaired.
- Stickers - to mark on the defected part, easier for the constructor to locate it.
- Floor Plan - to make your inspection works easier.
- Tapping rod / a golf ball - to check for hollow sound on tile or wall, hollow sound could be caused by uneven floor or tile.
- Measurement tape - Just in case you want to do any measurement.
- Set square - It's an triangle object used in engineering for technical drawing, it's used to measure gap between 2 objects e.g. between 2 joint wall or between door frame and wall (max allowable gap is 4mm - 2 x 50 cents coin). Another use of it is to check the straightness of the edge or angle for internal walls.
