House Inspection #4 - Window

Window's inspections
  • Consistent gap between windows leaf and frame
  • No visible gap between window frame and wall
  • Neat joint between window frame and wall internally and externally
  • Parallel with wall opening and window frame to be plumb and square
  • No stain mark and visible damage and no sign of corrosion
  • Ease of open and no squeaky sound during opening and closing
  • It worth to check after heavy rain

  2. The following is what I know, pls correct me if I'm wrong..

    When you collect the keys, developer will appoint someone to perform the joint accessment with you, so do not rush thru that assessment (normally that guy will say eveything should be OK and ask you to sign only..)

    There will be a form for you to make down the defected area in your house and hand it back to the developer for repair.

    As different developer handle it differently, so during the time we collect our keys, we need to check with developer what is the warranty period, and this period will allow us to still contact the developer for any defects or damages we found.

    So my advice is to talk to the developer to find out their procedures.
